Went to my doctor recently because I was getting bad headaches. He checked me out and then told me that I have high blood pressure. I told him that I had been feeling strange for some time before coming in. This was even without the headaches. He said that it was unlikely that I had been feeling it because high blood pressure really doesn't have any noticeable symptoms.
I didn't argue, but I am rather certain that I can detect high blood pressure sometimes. Am I the only one?
I can't be sure because I didn't check with the doc but find I lose focus when my BP is high. If it happens at night, I am restless and have horrible time trying to sleep. Sometimes my chest is a bit tight. That's my symptoms. I don't get a headache though.
I have no clue if its high or low. I feel no different. I am sort of blissfully ignorant, but glad I am on the medications for control.
I am new here but thought I would share.
Before I got the correct medication mixture, I would have feelings of anxiety when my blood pressure was high. I could also hear my pulse in my ears as rushing sound. It was not pleasant. So, my thoughts are that some people can notice their own blood pressure being off.
The doctors are probably just cautious and do not want people relying on their ability to detect the problem.
