Hypertension and heart attacks..are they linked?
#1
High blood pressure increases the risk of coronary artery disease and this is a medical fact.

With that in mind it is imperative that we do all that is required to stave off this potentially deadly attack.

Your diet is an important part of controlling hypertension which is one of the reasons we should focus more on developing a healthy diet with the necessary exercise. Smoking and excessive alcohol can also negatively affect your blood pressure.

Since we know the link between the two, what are we doing? I know I need to do much more.

My mother is diagnosed with hypertension at a young age of 42. She is on maintenance medication since then. I think it is important for hypertensives to follow these guidelines:

1. Follow an exercise regimen for your cardio. Maybe an hour or two of walking a day, 30 minutes of jogging or running or just anything to pump up your heart beat.

2. Don't ever forget your maintenance medications. Drink them daily and have a record so you won't forget about them.

3. Eat more vegetables and fruits.

4. Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages and even smoking cigarettes. Maintain a healthy lifestyle!

Of course, they are. Hypertension actually is behind many heart attacks that happen in the world of today. If you're diagnosed with it, hopefully at the early stages, it's an alarm. You have to make some changes in your life as soon as possible in order to normalize the way your body, especially your heart, feels.

I have been doing alot of reading about controlling Hypertension. It is required that one lose weight,as weight can contribute to Hypertension.I was also reading you should not consume Hydrogenated oils as those have a tendency to harden your arteries. When your arteries are hardened or narrowed it can make it hard for blood to get to the heart.I read its better to cook with Extra Virgin unrefined Coconut oil.Coconut oil is one of the best oils you can consume, but not just any Coconut oil.The Oil should be the Extra Virgin unrefined type.Cut down on salt.I was reading Flax Seeds can reduce high Blood Pressure.Boy I wish I could grab me some flaxseeds if this blood pressure medicine I take wasn
t holding me hostage.Omega3 is good also.
