IBS caused by abdominal surgery?
#1
I'd never experienced IBS until after I suffered a burst appendix. I wasn't told that this could be a possible side effect of abdominal surgery, or of appendicitis, but I'm not that surprised as my insides were messed around with during three different operations. I've also googled it since and it appears it's happened to quite a lot of other people too.

Has this happened to anyone on here?

Oh my, oh my, oh my. I feel this might be what I am looking for to solve a medical mystery. Someone I know might be experiencing this same thing or something similar. The only difference is that they might be suggesting it
s Crohn
s disease. The youngster underwent a similar surgery and now seems to be developing symptoms of IBS or similar. It
s all very frightening.
