So as you all know, I suffer from headaches big time. Today, I woke up with a splitting headache. I think I got it from sleeping "too hard." I did sleep really intently last night. I decided to let it go away naturally. It took all day, literally 10 hours. I drank coffee, I exercise, I did other relief stuff. The thing is, I'm not sure if that stuff helped, or if it just went away on its own.
What do you do to let it go away naturally?
Well if I'm letting it go away naturally, then I'm not actually doing -anything- in order for it to go away. I simply ignore it the best I can and go on with my life, hoping that it goes away.
As for natural cures, I've used heat and cold in order to help ease some of the pain before. A shower of the right temperature can have amazing results.
I try to do that as well. I guess for me, it depends on the severity of the headache. I try not to focus on the pain though, and sometimes it will go away, other times it won't.
I am with the group that say it depends on the severity of the headache. I too have had a headache after just getting up in the morning. I find that such a headache usually will go away once a get up, and have breakfast so this type of headache can be controlled without having to take anything for it. But the kind of headache I get occasionally during the day that is pounding or feel like my head i about ready to split open, these kind need a painkiller I will admit right now.
To get rid of a headache, I areate my brain. In other words I do what I call the blowfish. I hold my nose, if needed and blow gently, air into my brain. I do this for five or six times, then stop and do it again, at least twice more. This ends the headachje. Sometimes your brain just needs oxygen. I never use pills. Waking up with a headache could mean you suffer from sleep afpnea. My spelling could be off. Good luck.
I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're doing, artistry.
Is it a move similar to what you would do to get your ears to pop? By holding your mouth/nose closed and "blowing" so that it relieves the pressure?
Yes, I read another post of yours where you gave that suggestion. It is a process of blowing air gently up into your brain. It replenishes the oxygen that you may need to relieve the headaches. Once you get results you will not have to suffer again. Headaches in the morning could mean you have sleep apfnea, again my spelling may be off. That's when you stop breathing for a few seconds while sleeping and the brain loses oxygen. You then wake up with an awful headache. Try the blowfish, as I call, it when you get another headache. Sorry to take so long getting back to answer. Everyone else should try it as well. I never take headache pills.
Jessi, I am just checking back to see if you have tried the method I told you about to end a headache.. Hope so and hope that it worked for you. You may need to blow several times, but it should work. Take care,
I haven't yet, but that's mostly because I've been lucky and not having many headaches. And the ones I've had were minor so I didn't really think about how to get them to go away. I'll try to remember this next time.
