My brother suffers from Dissociation Fugue. He was not always like this; it is just something that happened. His real estate business went under, and he was under a lot of stress. He began drinking too much, which only made things worse. Dissociative Fugue is a disorder where a person temporarily forgets who they are. They also forget past events and seem to be in a state of confusion more often than not. His doctors say that extreme stress can cause the disease, as can drinking. Sometimes when people drink they "blackout". That blackout is a state of Dissociative Fugue. This is a good reason not to turn to drink when under a great deal of stress. It can break you permanently.
