do I have rheumatoid arthritis?

I have not been checked for rheumatoid arthritis, but when I read about my symptoms online, that is what I think that I have. I am sore and stiff all over in my joints and I have no energy. This has been going on for 1 month now.

Can anyone with experience tell me if I have reached the correct conclusion?

RE: do I have rheumatoid arthritis?

RA can come on in all sorts of ways. For example, mine started as tendinitis in my shoulders, wrists and the back of the legs.

You should tell your doctor your symptoms and see if you can get referred to a rheumatologist so they can do tests and start monitoring. They will have to monitor you because there is no single test that tells them you have RA. Its the combination of the symptoms.

If you do have RA, you need to be monitored by the rheumatologist so make sure you don't wait too long before going to the doctor. Also, find out if the rheumatologist is liked by the patients because having a bad doctor can make the difficult initial experience even more miserable.

For sure, don't wait to find out if you have it. I had to switch to different medications because of heart damage from the disease. I am glad my RA doctor was watching my tests or I could have more damage.

its a simple blood test to work out if you have an auto immune disorder i pray to god you dont have it when my ANA came back positive it was assumed to be ra or lupus at the time but after more testing i have spondylitis ask for an ANA blood test as a starting point and dont think negatively it may not be that at all i dont wish any of these diseases on anyone

Sadly, I do have RA :(. It has been very depressing for me for the last few months. I have been in a lot of pain. My medications have just started working so I am just starting to feel less pain. In the end I had a few tests for the doctors to tell me what was wrong.

Now I am just starting to learn about the disease. I am trying to understand what I can and can't do.

I am sorry you have spondylitis. I had to look up what it is. It doesn't sound very good either. I hope you are coping!

RE: do I have rheumatoid arthritis?

Your symptoms are similar to the symptoms my mum suffers from and she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis last year. You need to visit the doctor to find out what is causing the stiffness and fatigue, there are numerous possible causes related to your symptoms.
