Affected with Tonsillitis and the hearing in the ear is reduced to nothing

<span style="font-size: 16px; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">For about a week now I was affected with Tonsillitis and my left ear has felt full with the hearing in the ear reduced to nothing. I have no pain or dizziness. The ENT did not find any damage in my middle/outer ear nor I have experienced much relief or improvement. Sometimes I feel like I am completely deaf. I don’t know what more I can say. Will any hearing loss treatment centres in Toronto like the hearing solutions nearby can help for this? I am so frustrated and don’t know what to do. I don’t know anyone who have experienced anything like this. Any advice from the experienced ones will be greatly appreciated.

I think you should go to another doctor for a second opinion. Since you are experiencing hearing loss, then there's something wrong. More tests should be done on you as well. If you can, try out those hearing loss treatment centres as well, they can surely help you. Don't stop seeking the answer for your condition, I'm sure an expert can diagnose you correctly.

I did have tonsillitis and hearing loss when I was younger. However, it was always temporary, whenever I have colds or coughs, that's when I experience hearing loss. Fortunately, as I grew older, the condition went away. I think it has to do with the adenoids blocking some part of my hearing system. I cannot recall exactly the explanation for it.

Your case is different though since it isn't temporary anymore. I hope you seek treatment and find some relief for this. Good luck and take care!

Very sad to hear that you are affected by Tonsillitis. Few days ago I faced same problem. I went to my ENT specialist and he gives me few medicine. By consuming those medicines I recovered within 1 week. So nothing to be worried. Just go to your ENT specialist and see what he/she say.
