Any suggestions for getting rid of athlete's foot?

Having Candida just makes it harder to get rid of my Athlete's food. It just keeps coming back. I try the creams, the powders and keep the area dry. Any other suggestions to helping it clear up. I am tired of the bumps.

I'd recommend talking to your doctor.

While using creams and powders might work on regular athlete's foot, if you're struggling with it, you may need a prescription strength version. Make sure you don't stop using it as soon as it clears up. Use it for a little longer to make sure it's really gone.

Common types of athlete's foot can be managed with over the counter products and good hygiene. First be sure to wash as well as dry your feet well morning and night. 2nd Do not use socks or stockings that are soiled. Another tip is to let shoes air after using them. If you can avoid it do not use the same shoes on consecutive days so that you give it time to dry before using them again. Lastly, use anti-fungal powder, spray or cream on your feet till around 2 weeks after the infection has cleared to avoid reinfection.

RE: Any suggestions for getting rid of athlete's foot?

I use a bit of tea tree oil in between my toes, and that seems to help kill the athletes foot. It is from the Melaleuca tree, and I get mine from the Melaleuca company, but I have seen it at vitamin departments in Walmart as well.
another thing that I read that is supposed to kill it , is to mix equal parts of white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide, and soak your feet in that.

I think you are going to have to come visit us in the Caribbean and get some great sea baths. I posted in the General Health section that sea baths are recommended for several things including Athelete's foot.

This sounds strange, but use Listerene the type with alcohol content. After you wash up at night take a cotton swab and use that to apply the mouth wash to all parts of your foot. Let your foot air dry, then put on some wool socks. That should clear it up for you.
