How much should one use?

How many applications does it take to see results?

Does the yogurt eventually evaporate inside the vagina?

Do you need to wear a pad to prevent leakage?

These may all sound like dumb questions, but I really would like some answers. Thanks.

Hi,

you may apply the yogurt inside or outside the vagina. Yeast infections can spread to the anal region and the same applies. However, I would recommend washing it out after a period of time. I would also recommend considering that Lactobacillus acidophilus is naturally in your intestine to control Candida and keep yeast infections from occurring. As a result of poor diet choices and antibiotic overuse, the Lactobacillus level can be reduced and leave you susceptible to infection. Yogurt may treat visible symptoms but the chance of re-occurring or more serious complications like Leaky Gut Syndrome and food allergies are incredibly high if you continue to eat the same and take antibiotics without probiotics.

Getting rid of a yeast infection takes a change in diet from sugar and starches to unprocessed yeast-free foods until they can be slowly re-introduced after the necessary switch-off between priobiotics and antibiotics to kill candida and promote healthy intestinal flora. This is a serious issue as yeast infections can lead to organ failure and death if they're regarded simply as getting rid of an itch or sting in a specific region. They often affect us in ways we don't notice.

RE: Applying Yogurt to Treat Yeast Infections!

This is so good to know, I am always on the lookout for a natural cure. I am a firm believer that the natural way is better. Do you need to repeat this application often? I just recently learned about candida and it's effects on the body. I have sffered with excess candida for most of my life due to poor diet. I didn't understand this connection until recently.

Applying Yogurt to Treat Yeast Infections!

Well I was too late to post in this forum having just becoming a member of this forum, but for those who are interested in whether such thing does work. I have actually done this, and yes it does work, at least it did for me. I did as recommended and used plain yogurt with live cultures. I'm not saying that I recommend doing this to everyone the only reason I did it was because I have had little or not success with the yeast infection cures on the market. So I was looking for a natural alternative. So just for everyone to know there are those who have actually used this method with success, well at least I did.

When I was pregnant and when I was married to my first husband I got vaginal yeast infections. I once tried douching with plain yogart, thinking this may make it go away. What a bad mistake. It made it much worse. The only thing that would work was a prescription for yeast infections. The ones the worked the best were the ones that you injected cream for 7 days. The one day version never worked. Since I am no longer married to my ex, I do not get yeast infections anymore. I think he kept reinfecting me. Your sexual partner needs to get medication for the yeast also.

RE: Applying Yogurt to Treat Yeast Infections!

I have long heard that yogurt works wonders as it relates to ridding yourself of yeast infections. That it is recommended that you apply it directly to the genital area does not seem weird to me at all. I am not at all freaked out. What has been outlined in support of this method seems quite logical to me.

I say, if we can ingest it orally, a topical approach should not create any major problems. I am quite willing to try it.

RE: Applying Yogurt to Treat Yeast Infections!

The definition of physician many times can be a little vague, because someone who has a degree on medicine might be less competent to deal with this situation than someone who has studied alternative medicines. So many times we need to be fortunate enough to surround ourselves will skilled people that can really help us.
