Anyone Tried a Gluten Free Diet For Preventing Candidiasis

My doctor sent me to a nutritionist because he suggested that I needed to be on a gluten free diet to control my candida. Has this worked for anyone else?

It has for a lot of people. At the same time, it's become quite the fad lately with everyone and their mother going on gluten free diets. If you really need to be on it, that's great for you because there are a lot of resources. If you don't really need it, though, then it may take you a while to realize it's not the gluten that was causing you issues in the first place.

So if it's not gluten causing the issues, what is it. I have tried many over the counter things. The doctor medicines just don't work. I have to wear a pad all the time. It's at a point where I think I just have to live with it.

Well are you actually going to try the gluten-free diet to see if it helps? Sometimes the symptoms are confused and you may actually have a gluten intolerance and not candida at all.

It could also be other food-related issues that are causing it. You may need to cut out dairy, for example, or sugar.

I haven't tried gluten free yet. But I was wondering, does the excess candida really cause us to crave sugar? I read the it makes us want to eat all the unhealthy junk food we should stay away from, is that true?
