RE: Ways to reduce self-consciousness

Self-conscious people are usually insecure and try to fit in and please others. That's simply a wrong way to go. You can't just do that. What's more interesting, all those mean haters who try to put them down are kind of insecure, too. As their hate stems from something I would never call "confidence".

RE: Ways to reduce self-consciousness

Hmmm... This is a tough one. It's hard to be not self-conscious when you are bombarded with ads everyday making you feel like you're imperfect. I try to focus on other things instead of just myself. Undeniable, that can be quite hard to do.

Whenever you pass by a mirror, isn't it hard to not look at yourself? And for me, that's what being self-conscious is all about. You have to resist the urge to look in that mirror. Because the more you do, the more you focus on yourself and your flaws as well.

So invest in other activities. Cultivate hobbies and skills, this way, you'll see more beyond your physical looks. And in case you become self-conscious about your skills, then enhance them. That's the only way for you to overcome this self-consciousness.

Be the best version of yourself, always. You won't need to be self-conscious this way!

Well, I guess you have to accept yourself as who you really are in the first place rather than just ignoring your flaws. There' a pretty big difference between these things.
