Pneumonia Treatment for a 10 Year Old
​When my sot had pneumonia I searched high and low for information, but had trouble finding it. I thought I would share how we had to treat Pneumonia in my 10 year old son. He was only 70 lbs at the time. The doctor initially was going to give him a shot of antibiotics for the pneumonia. Then she came back and told us she could not give it to him because he was only 70 lbs. Instead we ended up doing 6 weeks of steroids, and a high dose too. This of course lead to side effects, such as a low platelet count. I hope others find this information useful.
